# 13 ... The 'Tree of Life' - Identity of Ahmedabad

This arched window made of stone grill belongs to the Siddi Sayid Mosque. It was the last significant monument of the Sultanate period. Although it was never completed, these exquisite stone grilles of its arched windows are famous across the world for their fine tracery work. The delicate "tree of life" motif has become the distinguishing symbol of Ahmedabad. The builder, whose grave is in the forecourt, was a noble belonging to the Siddi community.

#9 ... Do not disturb bow wow

Ahmedabad is certainly going to the dogs! There is one stray dog for every 24 to 30 Amdavadis if estimated figures of the first ever dog census and city's population at 60 lakh are to be believed.

#5 ... Caring Sister

Parents seems to be at work at this time so she has to take care of brother  I guess. That's how it works for poor families who do not even have good home to live. About 300 million (30 Cr.) people are below poverty line in India.

Gate to the old walled city of Ahmedabad. I had no idea of it's importance when I shot it. Built in 141 AD.

Great, isn't it?

#3 ... Server Room - No Entry

This is what you see at every other IT Company. Surprising for non technical people. These small servers contain huge amount of important data. The label "Remove your shoes outside" is quite funny though. This is the place where I work. All I have to see is those blinking lights 8hours a day. Quite boring, isn't it?

#1 ... Science City Dome

Hi and welcome to my photography blog. This blog is inspired from Wellington Daily Photo Blog. I will be posting photographs of various places of Ahmedabad City. This photo was taken from my home covering view of Gujarat Science City.

Gujarat Science City is a bold initiative of the Government of Gujarat to realize this priority. The Government is creating a sprawling center at Ahmedabad which aims to provide a perfect blend of education and entertainment. It will showcase contemporary and imaginative exhibits, minds on experiences, working models, virtual reality, activity corners, labs and live demonstrations to provide an understanding of science and technology to the common man.
