# 13 ... The 'Tree of Life' - Identity of Ahmedabad

This arched window made of stone grill belongs to the Siddi Sayid Mosque. It was the last significant monument of the Sultanate period. The delicate "tree of life" motif has become the distinguishing symbol of Ahmedabad. The builder, whose grave is in the forecourt, was a noble belonging to the Siddi community.
